izzy&liv: Brown sugar box review

A fun fact about me: I LOVE SUBSCRIPTION BOXES! It's so exciting to get new items from different companies every month. I'm always on the lookout for new products to try, and what better way to try out a new product than to have them directly shipped to your front door every month. The new subscription box I received is from IZZY & LIV. I've seen several people tagging and posting about the particular company on social media, but they ALWAYS have a waitlist to sign up/subscribe. (I'm guessing it's due to them having limited quantities, so it's first come first serve.) I saw a super cute graphic tee that I wanted, so I decided to visit the website and sign up for the waitlist. A few weeks later, I received an email stating that a spot had opened up so I gladly subscribed to get my first box.

I liked how they sent me a confirmation email letting me know that my first box was on its way and included a tracking number. I never had any questions about where my package was or when it would arrive. They bill your credit card once a month and you have the option to skip the next month if you'd like. Their website is user friendly and very easy to navigate.

Can I say, I LOVE the positive vibes from their monthly magazine. I was definitely impressed with how well this box was packaged and shipped. This was the first item that was on top in the box, and it gives you descriptive details about what is enclosed in your box for the month. It also has interesting tips and advice for women of color.

Also enclosed, was a mini notepad/journal for you to document your thoughts, goals, and to-dos. I love the famous Maxine Waters quote: "Reclaiming my Time," that is printed at the top. I received a coupon (I love coupons!) for a free bath bomb to Swag Boutique (as if I needed one more reason to shop lol). Another surprising treat that came, was the Generation One DVD. I can't wait to watch this with my husband!

If you're like me, I'm always taking my husband's T-shirts to lounge around the house and and sleep in. My subscription box also included (yes, there's more) a super comfy cotton nightgown that I just can't wait to chill in. I definitely could get used to this!

Next up, I pulled this awesome tee from the box that has a picture of Donyale Luna on it. She was the first black model to appear on the cover of Vogue Magazine in 1966. I will definitely be wearing this with a cute pair of jeans, and a pair of heels. Note: Order a size up, some of their shirts run small, it's better to be safe than sorry :)

And lastly, enclosed at the bottom of the box was this beautiful satin kimono robe and sleep mask. I must say this box was special opening up from beginning to end. I absolutely love each and every item that was enclosed. It's no wonder the boxes sell out so fast. Overall, my subscription to Izzy & Liv has been a great experience so far. I'm glad I was able to subscribe and I'm looking forward to next month's box. Thanks for reading!
